According to foreign media reports on February 29th, Samsung announced today that it is currently conducting sampling tests on its 256GB SD Express microSD card and has revealed that it has started mass production of 1TB UHS-1 microSD cards. Data shows that Samsung's SD Express card has a read speed of up to 800MB/s, which is faster than SATA SSDs (up to 560MB/s) and four times faster than traditional UHS-1 storage cards (up to 200MB/s). These cards will be equipped with Dynamic Thermal Protection (DTG) function to ensure optimal temperature even after prolonged use. Samsung created this 1TB microSD card using the eighth generation V-NAND technology with eight layers of stacking. And it claims that the new storage card has passed the "strictest testing setup in the industry" and can provide a reliable user experience even in extreme temperatures. In terms of release, the 56GB SD Express microSD card will be available for sale later this year. The 1TB microSD card is planned to be launched in the third quarter of 2024. |
